City of Missoula, Montana Item to be Referred to City Council Committee Committee: Conservation Item: Change Order #1 Pineview Park Date: 7/02/09 Prepared by: Alan White Initiated by: Donna Gaukler Action Required: Approve and recommend to Council, Change Order #1 for Pineview Park for approval. Recommended Motion: I move the City Council approve and authorize the Mayor to sign the resolution for Change Order #1 Pineview Park in the amount of $26,269.39 increasing the contract amount to $132,078.59. Timeline: Referral to committee: 7/02/09 Committee discussion: 7/08/09 Background and Alternatives Explored: Staff has been actively seeking alternatives to design and contract elements to provide an equal or better finished product which is better suited to the needs and wishes of the neighborhood committee and park users in general while saving money in the long run. Two maintenance sheds have been combined to one and the contractor has proposed supplying two structures which were specified as owner supplied items. Financial Implications: These contractor supplied structures are within the original line-item budget for what was originally to be owner supplied structures and provides an overall savings.
