Supplemental Information for Maps 1. All Designated and User‐Made Trails on Missoula’s Conservation Lands: This map shows all known trails (official and unofficial) on city conservation lands. More information on how trails were categorized and trail management priorities is available in the MCL Trails powerpoint. 2. Missoula’s Conservation Lands map: This map shows all conservation lands owned by the City of Missoula. It does not show several conservation Easements that provide access to several of these properties. 3. Conservation Lands Trailheads: This map shows all trailheads and major access points on City Conservation Lands. All signage and other resources at each of these locations have been inventoried. This inventory is available upon request. 4. Vegetation Management Areas map: This map was created using 4 years of intensive nonnative and native plant mapping. Leafy spurge, dalmatian toadflax, spotted knapweed, cheatgrass and native grass cover across the three largest properties in the Conservation Lands System were complied to create the vegetation management zones seen in the map. Rough estimates of weeds vs. natives in each area are as follows: pristine 0‐25% weeds, mixed‐native dominant< 50% weeds, mixed‐weed dominant> 50% weeds, inundated 75‐100% weeds. All noxious weed infestations across all conservations have been mapped. Individual weed species maps will be made available upon request. ---PAGE BREAK--- ---PAGE BREAK--- ---PAGE BREAK--- ---PAGE BREAK--- Legend Vegetation Management Areas Pristine - 223.8 Acres Mixed - Native Dominant - 837.7 Acres Mixed - Weed Dominant - 911.3 Acres Inundated - 542.3 Acres Sensitive - 20.5 Acres Deciduous Forest - 23.6 Acres Evergreen Forest -251.3 Acres Savannah - 204 Acres Roads/Trails - 10.5 Acres Trails Doubletrack Singletrack Road Public Ownership National Wildlife Federation Missoula Public Schools US Forest Service DNRC Missoula County Department of Defense Montana Fish Wildlife and Parks City Parks and Open Space University of Montana City of Missoula Montana DOT Basedata from the Missoula County Surveyor's Office, The Missoula Office of Planning and Grants, Missoula Parks and Recreation and The Montana State Library Natural Resource Conservation Service: http://nris.state.mt.us/ Aerial photo from the 2005 National Agricultural Imagery Program (NAIP) county image mosaics by the USDA Farm Services Agency.
