The Board ultimately met 17 times spanning 66 hours to review and hear public comment about the document. (See notice at right.) The City Council is responsible for reviewing and approving, revising, or denying the draft Title 20, Missoula City Zoning Ordinance. Missoula City Council will consider an ordinance to repeal Title 19 in its entirety, also known as the existing Missoula City Zoning Ordinance, and to establish Title 20, Missoula City Zoning Ordinance, referred to as the City Council Public Hearing Draft (dated 5-29-2009). An ordinance to repeal Title 2.84, language describing the Historic Preservation Committee, is also being considered because the language of that chapter is duplicated in the existing Title 19, City Zoning Ordinance, and is being revised and incorporated into the draft Title 20, Missoula City Zoning Ordinance. Look for more draft regulatory language regarding Historic Preservation as a separate project managed through the Historic Preservation Commission. Ryman, Missoula, MT 59802, or email [EMAIL REDACTED]. Written protests against all or part of the proposed ordinance may be filed by an owner or owners of real property in the city. Protests must be delivered to the City Clerk at 435 Ryman Street, Missoula, Montana, 59802 prior to the City Council's final action. The protests must be in writing, identify the property owned by the protestor, and be signed by all owners of the property.
