Recommended Motion: I move the City Council transfer Bernadine Gantert's membership on the Historic Preservation Commission from the "at large" position to the" Northside/Westside neighborhood representative" for a term commencing immediately and ending December 31, 2011. Timeline: Referral to committee: August 3, 2009 Committee discussion: August 5, 2009 Council acts to set hearing: Public Hearing: Deadline: None, members continue serving until reappointed or successor is named. Background and Alternatives Explored: Bernadine Gantert was appointed to the At-Large sector and resides in the Northside/Westside area. The Northside/Westside position recently became available when White resigned her position. Designating Ms. Gantert to the Northside/Westside sector allows the At Large position a larger area for other applicants who may be interested in serving. This action would also extend Ms. Gantert's appointment on the board by an additional year. Financial Implications: None
