Painter, Fire Chief Action Required: Authorize the Mayor to sign a Memorandum of Agreement extending the contract between the City of Missoula & International Association of Fire Fighters Local #271. Recommended Motion: I move the City Council authorize the Mayor to sign the Memorandum of Agreement extending the contract between the City of Missoula & International Association of Fire Fighters Local #271. Timeline: Referral to committee: May 6, 2010 Committee discussion: May 19 Council acts to set hearing: Public Hearing: Deadline: Background and Alternatives Explored: The City of Missoula & IAFF L#271 mutually agreed to open the current collective bargaining agreement to negotiate a supplemental agreement. This Memorandum of Agreement is the result of those negotiations. Financial Implications: Base pay for FY2011 will be frozen at FY2010 rates; contract will be extended by 3 years (through June 30, 2015). Attachments: Memorandum Of Understanding
