Local Parking Enforcement Officer Wins National Award Congratulations to Cyndie Winchell, Parking Enforcement Officer for the Missoula Parking Commission, for being the 2009 International Parking Institute Parking Staff Member of the Year Award recipient. This honor is given each year to a frontline parking staff member who provides leadership and innovative solutions for the industry. Cyndie has been a devoted Parking Commission employee for 22 years. She is an exceptional officer in every aspect of her job responsibilities and has provided outstanding customer service for Missoula’s Downtown throughout her tenure with the City. Cyndie’s great work and personality help build bridges of cooperation between the City and the community, enhancing the image of the Parking Commission and Missoula’s Downtown. Cyndie directly contributes to making Downtown a better place to work and shop. Cyndie does her job in such a professional and caring manner that most people are not offended when receiving a parking ticket. Her infectious sense of humor and ready smile have made a big mark in our Downtown. Cyndie was recognized and received the award during the International Parking Institute’s annual Conference & Expo in Denver on May 20.
