CONSERVATION LANDS MANAGEMENT PLAN (CLMP) PROCESS Missoula Parks and Recreation Citizen Working Group (Meeting 5) February 9, 2010 5:30 – 8:30 PM (with a light supper at 5:30) Fire Station #3 (on corner of Russell and 39th) Public Comment Period 7:00 – 7:20 PM PROCESS OBJECTIVES 1. Explore aspects of a Management Plan for Missoula’s Conservation Lands. 2. Within the Working Group’s Charter, develop consensus recommendations to Missoula Parks & Recreation Department and the Park Board. SESSION OBJECTIVES 1. Review the final draft Conservation Lands Management Plan and affirm that management recommendations, etc., are consistent with the Working Group’s intent and goals. 2. Discuss and help prepare for the spring public open house. 3. Update the Working Group on the remainder of the process. AGENDA ITEMS • Catching up… - Session objectives and agenda review - Quick roundtable – Who’s here? Who’s in the room? - Process update - Where are we? What else needs to be done? • Reviewing the Final Draft: - General “walk-through” with members of the Ecosystem Research Group and Parks and Recreation Personnel - Feedback from the Working Group - Do we have general agreement that the document should go to the public for comment? • Prepping for the spring open house: - Morgan - Tentative plans regarding the agenda and process - How might Working Group members be help? Are you willing? - Tasks and assignments • Where do we go from here? - What does the process look like from here to final decision? - Ushering the Plan through the process – How might Working Group members help?
