Timeline: Referral to committee: June 14, 2010 Committee discussion: June 16, 2010 Public hearing (if necessary): July 12, 2010 Deadline: n/a Background and Alternatives Explored: This change is proposed to direct revenues collected from services provided by the cemetery to the city's general fund in accounts dedicated to the operation of the city cemetery. Currently a portion of the revenue collected is deposited into several reserve funds. The reason this change is being proposed is to direct cemetery revenue to the operation of the cemetery rather than continuing to build reserves. The cemetery board will continue to direct the operations of the cemetery and the use of the revenues derived from cemetery services.
