If you own the vehicle, contact the Missoula City-County Health Department to request removal of the vehicle. Contact: Junk Vehicle Program City-County Health Department 301 W Alder Missoula, MT 59802-4123 (406) 258-4755 Ext 3372 Requirements: Proof of ownership (title, registration, etc.) of the vehicle Sign ownership over to the Junk Vehicle Program There is no charge for removal; and vehicles in any condition or state of repair may be removed under this program. If you do not own the vehicle, Montana Statute (MCA 61-12-401) permits the removal of vehicles from private property at the request of the landowner or person in lawful possession or control of the private property, by the city police. The vehicle must have been on the property for at least five days (120 hrs) before law enforcement may remove it. There is no charge to the requesting property owner for the removal.
