RESOLUTION NUMBER 7482 A RESOLUTION OF THE MISSOULA CITY COUNCIL ESTABLISHING A GOAL OF TEN PERCENT REDUCTION IN FUEL CONSUMPTION AND ENERGY USE BY THE CITY OF MISSOULA BELOW 2007 LEVELS BY JULY 1, 2011. WHEREAS, the Missoula City Council adopted Resolution 7375 on November 3, 2008 establishing a goal of ten percent reduction in fuel consumption and energy use by the City of Missoula below 2007 levels by January 1, 2011, and directing the Mayor to develop a plan to achieve this policy; and WHEREAS, the Mayor worked with staff to establish a plan to be put into effect to achieve the policy and presented this plan to the Council on September 30, 2009; WHEREAS, the fuel reduction plan is based upon fiscal years; NOW, THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, the Missoula City Council adopts a policy goal of reducing fuel consumption by ten (10) percent and energy electricity and natural gas) consumption by ten (10) percent from 2007 levels by July 1, 2011; and PASSED AND ADOPTED this 5th day of October, 2009.
