Recommended Motion: The Committee recommends that City Council grant an exemption to MMC 9.30.040 for Special Events, between 7:00 PM and 11:00 PM from 55 to 65 decibels for Garden City Harvest on August 19, 2010. Timeline: Referral to committee: August 9, 2010 Committee discussion: August 11, 2010 Background and Alternatives Explored: This request is from Garden City Harvest for their annual Farm Party Fund Raiser taking place at the PEAS Farm on the evening of August 19, 2010, from 6:00 to 11:00 PM. There will a band performing at this event that may exceed the 7:00 to 11:00 PM noise level of 55 decibels. (See attached letter) The property owners in the area will be notified and invited to the fund raiser (See attached flyer). City Engineering supports this request.
