Newman, OPG Initiated by: City Council Action Required: Set a public hearing to consider amendments to the Title 20 Missoula City Zoning Ordinance, Chapter 20.110, Section .050 “Setbacks” as shown in Attachment 2. Recommended Motion: THAT the City Council set a public hearing on June 14, 2010 to consider amendments to the Title 20 Missoula City Zoning Ordinance, Chapter 20.110, Section .050 “Setbacks” as shown in Attachment 2. Timeline: Referral to committee: May 17, 2010 Committee discussion: May 19, 2010 Council acts to set hearing: May 24, 2010 City Council Public Hearing: June 14, 2010 Background: As directed by the Missoula City Council, the Missoula Office of Planning and Grants has drafted revisions to the Title 20 Zoning Ordinance intended to replace the original language in the above-cited section of the code, as well as succeed Interim Urgency Zoning pursuant to Ordinance No. 3466 adopted February 22, 2010. The proposed revisions were drafted in cooperation with representatives of the Missoula Building Industry Association (MBIA). Financial Implications: None anticipated. Attachments: 1.
