Board Meetings are held the first Wednesday evening of every month. Chairman’s Corner As usual, our Carson Valley Days breakfast was a great success. We want to thank Model Dairy, Alpen Sierra Coffee RoasƟng Company, and Nature’s Bakery for providing the food. Don’t forget our hamburger and hot dog BBQ on the 4th of July. The Board and the Minden Town Staff looks forward to seeing you there. Our staff is busy maintaining our parks and faciliƟes. Please take the Ɵme to thank them for all they do to keep our Town looking good. The Seeman Pond Project is complete with a bathroom, pavilion, fishing pier and fish waiƟng to be caught. Next, we are looking forward to the installaƟon of a splash pad and pavilion in the Westwood park. Last, as a dog owner myself, I want to keep Minden a dog friendly environment. When walking your dog or playing with them in the parks, please, be a responsible dog owner and pick up aŌer them. The Town provides poop bags and waste receptacles for your convenience. ‐Bill Driscoll Bill Driscoll, Chairman [EMAIL REDACTED] [PHONE REDACTED] Steve Thaler, Vice-Chairman [EMAIL REDACTED] [PHONE REDACTED] Roxanne Stangle, Member [EMAIL REDACTED] [PHONE REDACTED] Bryan Davis, Member [EMAIL REDACTED] [PHONE REDACTED] Susie Jackson, Member [EMAIL REDACTED] [PHONE REDACTED] 1604 Esmeralda Ave, Suite 101 Minden, NV 89423 Phone: 775‐782‐5976 Fax: 775‐782‐5287 E‐mail: [EMAIL REDACTED] Website: www.townofminden.com Admin Office Hours: 7:30am ‐ 4:00pm Check out our 2021 Consumer Confidence Report at: DocumentCenter/View/1136/Consumer- Confidence-Report-2022?bidId= Or go to our homepage at www.townofminden.com and click on the CCR link. This will help to prevent the truck arms from tipping over other cans or damaging vehicles and other objects. Holiday Trash Schedule: There will be no changes to your regularly scheduled trash day. Yard Waste: For your BROWN can. Please do not put any trash, plastic bags, or doggy poop in this can. It is for clippings and yard refuse only. Large branches need to be cut down and cannot stick out of the top. Green Waste is picked up on Thursday. Please have your cans out by 6:00am. Extra Trash Day: Your 3rd trash pickup of the month. Set the extra trash off to the side of your cans by 6:00am. Please do not put the extra trash in the Brown can. Did you know?! We have three separate trucks that come around throughout the neighborhoods. Each truck will handle either Residential, Yard Waste, or Commercial Trash. If you see someone go by they may be with a different service and your truck may be coming by later. Tip of the Quarter Water conservation is in the forefront of all of our minds. Here are some tips that anyone can do to help. Double‐check your irrigaƟon watering Ɵmes. Instead of watering during the hoƩest part of the day (between 10:00am – 6:00pm), watering in the early morning or late evening can help reduce evapotranspiraƟon. Check your sprinkler valves, lines, and drip systems for any leaks or breaks on a regular basis. Replace any broken components as soon as you find them to ensure the system is working properly. Adjust sprinkler heads to avoid overspray onto sidewalks or roadways. Check for leaks on the house faucets and toilets. Adding a liƩle food coloring to the back tank of your toilet is an easy way to see if it’s leaking. When it’s Ɵme to wash your car wash turn the water hose off between scrubbing and rinse cycles. If you think you may have a leak, call the Town Office and we can check your usage. 6/30 ~ DC Library Summer Reading Program—CVIC Hall 7/4 ~ Town of Minden 4th of July Celebration BBQ—Minden Park 7/8 ~ Concert in the Park, Mike Furlong Raised on Radio— Minden Park 7/15 - 7/17 ~ CVTC Production—CVIC Hall 7/22 - 7/24 ~ CVTC Production—CVIC Hall 7/28 ~ DC Library Summer Reading Program—Minden Park 8/1 ~ Lake Tahoe Shakespeare Children’s Performance— CVIC Hall 8/4 ~ Hot August Nights Poker Run— Minden Park 8/5 ~ Concert in the Park The Outlaw Mariachi—Minden Park 8/12 ~ Main Street Event Car Show— Downtown Minden 8/17 ~ Chamber Luncheon—CVIC Hall 8/20~ Dangberg Home Ranch Fundraiser—CVIC Hall 8/26 ~ Concert in the Park The Island of Black and White—Minden Park 8/27 ~ Douglas Center for Hope & Healing Event—Minden Park 9/14 ~ DHS Homecoming Parade— Downtown Minden 9/15 - 9/18 ~ DC Library Booksale— CVIC Hall 9/21 ~ Chamber Luncheon—CVIC Hall Hot Days, Cool Cars and a great time!
