Call [PHONE REDACTED] Town of Minden Town of Minden July 1 - Sept. 30th st July 1 - Sept. 30th st Chairman’s Corner: Keep the water on the pad - not the playground! Bringing water over to the playground equipment might seem like a blast, but it makes things slippery and unsafe for climbing, sliding, and running around. With your help, we can keep the water flowing, the laughter going, and the play areas safe and open for everyone. Let’s work together to make every splash a safe one! Thanks for doing your part! – Town of Minden Staff As summer makes its long-awaited return to our beautiful Carson Valley, we are once again reminded of how fortunate we are to call Minden home. From the scenic views that surround us to the friendly faces that make up our community, there’s no better place to enjoy this vibrant season. Our Carson Valley Days breakfast is always a highlight, and this year’s festivities did not disappoint. A heartfelt thank you goes out to our amazing Town Staff, who kicked off the weekend with a delicious pancake breakfast. Their culinary skills were matched only by the generosity of our local partners, Model Dairy and Alpen Sierra Coffee, whose donations helped make the morning especially memorable. With summer in full swing, we’re excited about the outdoor fun ahead. Our newest addition, the splash pad at Westwood Park, opened with a sunny ribbon- cutting ceremony in late May. Judging by the daily turnout, it’s already a family favorite! We’re also proud to be working on a plan to collaborate with Douglas County, the School District and private partners on a proposed new outdoor pickleball complex at the high school. But that’s not all-design work is underway for a new dog park along Buckeye Road, right next to Seeman Pond Park. It’s shaping up to be an exciting season for recreation in Minden! On the local business front, we’re happy to welcome as the newest addition to our dining scene, stop in for a tasty hot dog! And keep an eye out for Chipotle, which is slated to open later this summer. Lastly, don’t forget to join us for our traditional Fourth of July Barbecue, an annual celebration and a great way to kick off Independence Day with your friends and neighbors. Here’s to a fun, safe, and sunshine-filled summer in Minden. We need your help to keep the fun going all summer long at our splash pads and playground. Mud pies belong in the backyard, not on the splash pad! We’ve seen kids bringing in sticks, leaves, rocks, and even handfuls of dirt. While it might seem like harmless fun, all that nature clogs our drains, damages the equipment, and can lead to unexpected shutdowns. Let’s leave the mess behind and keep the splash zone clean! Let’s Keep the Splash Pads Splashin’! 💦 ---PAGE BREAK--- Page 2 [PHONE REDACTED] [PHONE REDACTED] OFFICE OFFICE fARMER’S MARKET - 1 , 8 , 15 , 22 , 29 st th th nd th minden’s board meeting - 2nd minden park celebration -4 office closed th concert in the park - 11 (gruve nation) th cv community theater - 18 - 20 & 25 -27 (the odd couple) th th th th Shakespeare - 28 th dc library - 31 (summer reading program) st fARMER’S MARKET - 1 , 8 , 15 , 22 , 29 st th th nd th minden’s board meeting - 2nd minden park celebration -4 office closed th concert in the park - 11 (gruve nation) th cv community theater - 18 - 20 & 25 -27 (the odd couple) th th th th Shakespeare - 28 th dc library - 31 (summer reading program) st fARMER’S MARKET - 5 , 12 , 19 , 29 th th tth th Minden's board meeting - 6th Vitalant - 7 (blood drive) th concert in the park - 8 (beatles flashback) th MAIN STREET EVENT - 15 (car show) th cv flyte - 24 (back to school event ) th concert in the park - 29 (cripple creek band) th fARMER’S MARKET - 5 , 12 , 19 , 29 th th tth th Minden's board meeting - 6th Vitalant - 7 (blood drive) th concert in the park - 8 (beatles flashback) th MAIN STREET EVENT - 15 (car show) th cv flyte - 24 (back to school event ) th concert in the park - 29 (cripple creek band) th fARMER’S MARKET - 2 , 9 , 16 , 23 , 30 nd th th rd th minden’s board meeting - 3rd Will James Society Fund - 5 th MES - 6 (minden elementary school’s 30 Birthday celebration ) th th concert in the park - 12 (Miki rae & the hooligans) th CV Chamber Luncheon - 17th DC Storm Water - 17 (workshop) th Douglas high school - 24 (homecoming parade) th fARMER’S MARKET - 2 , 9 , 16 , 23 , 30 nd th th rd th minden’s board meeting - 3rd Will James Society Fund - 5 th MES - 6 (minden elementary school’s 30 Birthday celebration ) th th concert in the park - 12 (Miki rae & the hooligans) th CV Chamber Luncheon - 17th DC Storm Water - 17 (workshop) th Douglas high school - 24 (homecoming parade) th www.townofminden.com [EMAIL REDACTED] www.townofminden.com [EMAIL REDACTED] [PHONE REDACTED] [PHONE REDACTED] FAX FAX 1604 Esmeralda Ave Suite 101 Minden NV 89423 1604 Esmeralda Ave Suite 101 Minden NV 89423 THE LASTEST SPLASH: THE LASTEST SPLASH: 💧 Sprinklers, Toilets & Tiny Leaks—Oh My! Make sure to give your irrigation lines a quick check for any sneaky breaks! Think you might have a leak? No worries—we can take a look at your meter remotely to see if water’s constantly on the move. 💧 Curious About Your Water? Our updated 2025 Consumer Confidence Report is now available! This annual report provides important information about the quality of your drinking water, where it comes from, and how we’re keeping it safe. Don’t just take our word for it, see for yourself on the link below! Stay water-wise and leak-free this season! Let’s face it, our trash cans can get a little funky in the summer heat! Between food scraps, yard clippings, and mystery smells we’d rather not name, it’s no wonder they need a little TLC. Give your bins a fresh start by rinsing them out with a hose, scrubbing with dish soap or vinegar, and letting them dry in the sun. Bonus tip: sprinkle a bit of baking soda in the bottom to keep odors away! Your nose (and your neighbors) will thank you!
