Chairman’s Corner: Summer is fast coming to an end but beautiful Fall is approaching. Minden glows in the Fall and the Town bustles with many activities. Be sure to check the Town calendar and to plan to join us for signature events including Halloween Safety Street, the community lighting of the Gazebo and the Parade of Lights. The Town wishes to express its gratitude to the Carson Valley Inn and Model Dairy for their generous support of our Carson Valley Days and 4th of July Cel- ebrations. We look forward to bringing these events to the Town each year. We hope you enjoyed the Summer’s activities including the Concerts in the Park, the Farmer’s Market, the art shows, and the many theater productions which were held in our historic CVIC Hall. Speaking of which, the Town has embarked on a renovation of the CVIC Hall which will showcase the Hall at its best. We hope to reveal the changes by early Spring. My year as Chairman is coming to an end with a new Chairman coming on board January 1st. My thanks to Staff and fellow Board Members for their support and encouragement and for helping to make it another successful year in Minden. ~Bill Souligny ---PAGE BREAK--- Upcoming Events 10/4 Homecoming Parade—Esmeralda Ave. 10/6 CVAC Concert —CVIC Hall 10/14 CV Pops Fall Concert—CVIC Hall 10/20 - 10/22 CVCT Production—CVIC Hall 10/27 Nevada Day—Town Offices Closed 10/27 - 10/29 CVTC Production—CVIC Hall 10/31 Halloween Safety Street—CVIC Hall 11/3 CVAC Concert—CVIC Hall 11/9– 11/12 Library Book Sale—CVIC Hall 11/18 Kiwanis Turkey Bingo—CVIC Hall 11/19 CV Sinfonia Concert—CVIC Hall 11/23 CV Food Closet & D.A.W.G Turkey Trot—Minden Park 12/1 Elks Christmas Tree Bingo & Spaghetti Feed—CVIC Hall 12/1 Minden Park Gazebo Lighting—Minden Park 12/2 Parade of Lights—Downtown Historic Minden 12/9 CV Pops Winter Concert—CVIC Hall 12/17 All About Dance Christmas Dance Show—CVIC Hall GreeƟngs from the Town of Minden administraƟve office!
