Town of Minden Summer 2018 I would like to start off by saying thank you to Model Dairy for Co-Sponsoring the Carson Valley Days breakfast with us. I would also like to thank Mike Pegram with Car- son Valley Inn for the compli- mentary hamburgers and hotdogs that are provided for the 4th of July Celebration. It surely would not be the same without these two amazing local businesses. Hot times are here and water conservation is back at the forefront of our minds. Please help us be good stewards of the water we have. Some great ways to help conserve water is to try to avoid watering during the hottest times of the day, water in the early morning or late in the day to reduce evap- oration. Also keep an eye out for water that is flowing over your sidewalks. The Town Office has been in transition. For those of you who don’t know, Jenifer Davidson has moved on to become the Assistant Douglas County Manager and I would like to wish her all the luck in the world to do great things. JD Frisby has taken her place as the new Town Manager and Ted Thran has accepted a full time position elsewhere but will still occasionally be here as a con- sultant to help out. Have a great summer and I will see you around town. ~Matt Bernard The Town of Minden has a Walking Tour. Stop in or call the Office for more information. Chairman’s Corner The Town has a few projects that are being worked on. Please take care when driving through the area.
