The world awakens, soft and bright, Bathed in streams of golden light. Petals drift on tender air, Blossoms bloom with gentle care. Spring’s Gentle Call Meadows hum with life anew, Draped in emerald, kissed by dew. A of birdsong plays, Welcoming the sunlit days. The breeze is laced with lilac’s hue, A painter’s touch in pastel blue. Spring returns, so light and free A fleeting dream, a melody. M.M Water You Waiting For? Please check for leaks once your system is up and running. If you suspect a leak, call our office we're happy to offer some diagnostic steps. If the issue persists, consider contacting a plumber for further assistance. Backflow testing is required annually by the State of Nevada and the Town of Minden. If you have a backflow device on your water system, please provide us with a copy of your current test results as soon as they are completed. This winter’s mild temperatures have blessed us with a near-normal snowpack in the surrounding mountains. Our local ranchers have enjoyed a successful calving season, and we anticipate abundant water to nourish our valley’s hay fields and pastures. I look forward to driving along County Road, witnessing the vibrant hues of springtime flora. Excitement is building as the Boys & Girls Club of Western Nevada nears the completion of the new Wray Family Clubhouse on Ironwood Drive. The playground is taking shape, promising a safe and engaging space for our youth. Additionally, we eagerly await the grand opening of the Westwood splash pad, with the exact date dependent on favorable weather conditions. The Douglas County Board of Commissioners has approved the purchase of the Minden Ironwood Theater. Plans include remodeling part of the complex into a performing arts venue while maintaining four theaters for movies and local talent shows. For those who enjoy fast food, new eateries like Big Chicken and Firehouse Subs have opened their doors. We also look forward to welcoming Chipotle and which will add to our Town’s diverse culinary scene. As we embrace the warmer weather, let’s come together to keep our parks and public spaces pristine. Please dispose of trash responsibly and use the dog waste bags provided to maintain a clean and welcoming environment. Our dedicated Town staff works tirelessly to ensure these areas remain sources of joy for everyone. Wishing you all a joyful and rejuvenating spring. I look forward to seeing you out and about in our wonderful town. - Chairman, Larry Walsh ---PAGE BREAK--- OFFICE PLEASE CALL DISPATCH If you have a water emergency on a day we’re closed, please contact DC Dispatch.
