The city has hired a City Manager and are interviewing for a planning director. b. Millcreek may be leaving SLVLESA but we will not be leaving the services of the Unified Police Department. This decision is the recommendation of a study commissioned by the city. Due to a bill passed in this last legislative session we are not required to hold a public vote in order to make this decision. If we are going to make this move we have to do it now in order to have time to enact a tax to support decision. The City’s decision to commission a study around this was because Riverton and Herriman announced their intention to leave. With approximately 40% of the population and a contribution of more than 54% of SLVLESA's taxable value, Millcreek ---PAGE BREAK--- will have only one vote out of nine on the new board. We are all encouraged to participate in the planning sessions c. We will not be sponsoring our own Prepare Fair this year. We will be partnering with other cities.
