Millcreek ordinance requires residents to license their dogs, cats and ferrets. We know that our residents care for their pets and thank the many responsible pet owners in the city who have already licensed their furry family members. If you have not yet licensed your pets, we ---PAGE BREAK--- 3/27/2019 Pet Licensing 2/12 Agenda Below Planning Commission Weds., 1/16/19 5 PM City Hall Agenda Below encourage you to do so. Licensing is an easy process and there are many benefits ranging from helping find your pet if they get lost or injured to obtaining FREE micro-chipping. There is no set limit to the number of pets you can have in Millcreek so no reason to not have all pets licensed. Rules are in place to ensure that pets are well taken care of and are not a nuisance to neighbors. Millcreek contracts with Salt Lake County for Animal Services, which provides many programs and is the largest life saving shelter in Utah, operating 24/7, 365 days a year, to service Millcreek and other areas in the county. The current sign ordinance for Millcreek was inherited from Salt Lake County and has not been updated for 15-20 years. It is the generic ordinance that covered all the unincorporated areas of the County. The ---PAGE BREAK--- 3/27/2019 Pet Licensing 4/12 Millcreek General Plan (our community vision process) emphasized the importance of improving the visual quality and creating opportunities for economic development along our corridors and in our centers. More economic activity results in new signs and changes to existing signs. Millcreek would like to have a sign ordinance that is better suited for our unique community needs. In addition to advertising, signs can also impact the safety of streets and the appearance of public spaces. This is why your city is reaching out for feedback to help create a sign ordinance that represents our community values. Please take five minutes to complete the survey: click here Give your input on this important ordinance change and ask others to do so as well! ---PAGE BREAK--- 3/27/2019 Pet Licensing 5/12 Thomas Boyden pictured with another cross country winner MILLCREEK.
