Will preference be given to qualified companies that are Utah-based? NO 3. What is the preferred website live date? Based on the information provided in the RFP, it looks like a website would be needed by May 4 with Roller Skating and Ice Skating pages to follow based on their opening dates. Is that accurate? THE CONTRACT WILL BE AWARDED ON MAY 1ST. WE ARE ASKING THAT YOU PROVIDE THE DATES OF COMPLETION IN YOUR PRESENTATION. 4. Do you have a specific budget in mind for the website build? Will there also be a separate budget for ongoing maintenance costs associated with managing the website on AWS? PLEASE PRESENT ALL COSTS AS YOU NORMALLY WOULD. 5. Has a committee already been formed for the creation of the website? Will anyone outside of the committee have final decision making authority in the design or development of the site? NO 6. Please expand on what types of products/services will be sold on the e-commerce portion of the website beyond selling time on the rink and skate rentals, etc. FOR NOW, THAT IS IT. WE WOULD ALSO LIKE TO INCORPORATE A WAIVER 7. Has the City of Millcreek researched what type of eCommerce/Ticketing/Point of Sale systems to use already? If so, can you share your requirements? WE HAVEN’T DECIDED ON A POS SYTEM YET 8. Ticketing and eCommerce software comes with its own costs. There are two options available, subscription (paid by the business) or convenience fee (paid by the consumer) In general, most organizations pass along those costs to the consumer either directly or they build it into the list price of the ticket or rental. Has the City of Millcreek determined what type of pricing model to use? Additional information will help us select the best provider for this portion of the site. SUBSCRIPTION 9. The RFP specifically mentions the website will be hosted on AWS. Is the City of Millcreek open to alternative solutions such as the Google Cloud instead? YES ---PAGE BREAK--- 10. Whether companies from Outside USA can apply for this? (like, from India or Canada) Any company may apply if they meet the requirements of the RFP 11. Whether we need to come over there for meetings? Virtual meeting may replace in person. 12. Can we perform the tasks (related to RFP) outside USA? (like, from India or Canada) Tasks may be performed in any country if they meet the requirements of the RFP 13. Can we submit the proposals via email? We are accepting 1 proposal by email and requiring 2 hard copies by US mail. 14. I wanted to ask if you're open to working with a freelancer as opposed to an agency/organization? I'd also like to check if you're open to working with someone outside of the US, as I am UK based. With that in mind, would you be open to the proposal being sent by email rather than posted? If you can meet the criteria of the website, we are not opposed to working with a freelance designer. We are also not opposed to working with someone from another country. Our City Attorney requires a mailed copy of the proposal. We are accepting one digital copy as well to better showcase your work.
