Minutes – MCC 9/1/20 Business Meeting Attending: Diane, Allen, Hilary, France, Wayne, Lynda, Jamie, Quentin Discussion - Elections: • Wayne is working with Nancy Carlson-Gotts • Deadline was August 31 – Notice was published in July newsletter • Hilary to call Nancy to determine if we can extend the cutoff time for application so notice can be put in e-newsletter, advertised more widely o Discussed with Nancy Carlson-Gotts the reasons for the 8/31 deadline o Determined that the application cutoff cannot be modified • Wayne noted that we have five candidates. Wayne is confirming voter registration • Wayne to coordinate with Chip to count votes Budget: • Promise program budget allocation – Internet Essentials Program has now been launched – $3,000 • Budget to be amended to include insurance - $724 • Increase emergency prep budget to $9,000 • To pay the city to insert ballot into newsletter – no budget adjustment suggested • Allen to update the budget for the above items Bylaws: • Discussion on the process for approval of the bylaws • To finalize draft in this meeting – See attached draft. • Hilary will send the proposed Bylaw draft for feedback to the council.
