Broken into small groups, attendees discussed how to address food insecurity throughout the city, how to make emergency preparedness more ecumenical, what community projects could be developed collaboratively, and what Millcreek as a community can do to help overcome divides. Plans were made to expand membership and to continue with regular meetings to move forward with implementation. At the Co-Creator Mixer, members of the Planning Commission, the four Community Councils, the Arts Commission, the Historic Preservation Commission, and interested residents spent time visiting with city staff to discuss various city functions. A lively "speed dating" format at separate tables allowed attendees to rotate through topics of their choice. They learned about and provided ideas and comments on the Promise Program, Sustainability, Historic Preservation, Planning & Zoning, Engineering & Building Permits, Community Life, Budget, UPD/UFA, and Arts & Culture. A short wrap up session gave people the opportunity to ask questions and provide additional ideas about how to make Millcreek an even more special place. Our city is brimming with people willing to go the extra mile to make Millcreek the best it can be. Our City Council and staff are so happy to hear from residents. Through these two initial creative sessions, the diverse and caring people of Millcreek will help plan the course forward for the city. This was the kick off for both of these groups. Watch for future meetings and for great things happening in Millcreek. ---PAGE BREAK--- ---PAGE BREAK--- MILLCREEK COMMON LEARN TO PLAY HOCKEY WITH VEGAS GOLDEN KNIGHTS LEARN TO PLAY HOCKEY - $220 Includes 8 lessons, full set of new hockey equipment from head to toe to keep.
