PUBLIC MEETINGS City Council Mon., 11/28/22 Work Meeting 5:30 pm Regular Meeting 7 pm City Hall, 3330 S 1300 E NEWS 'Tis the Season of Giving MILLCREEK. We have many causes in Millcreek worthy of donations from our community. In particular, right now, the temporary overflow shelter at the old Calvin Smith Library is in urgent need of warm blankets. Drop off what you can at Millcreek City Hall. We are seeking community support to help us to continue to improve and grow our programming in Millcreek. Below is a list of things your donation to the Promise Program would be used for: Supporting current afterschool programs and helping us to continue growing options for afterschool programs for youth Helping us to pay local artists and performers at culturally inclusive events in 2023! Supporting resource fairs that we host throughout Millcreek Helping to grow our Tech On Program, a program designed to connect residents to internet, devices, and tech literacy classes And more! Ice Skating on the Common to Open December 1st MILLCREEK. For the past week, Millcreek Common has been building ice on the Skate Loop to get ready for the opening day for Ice Skating on December 1st. MILLCREEK. It's the twinkly-lights season, and the 2022 Holiday Lights contest has begun. Enter your holly jolly home HERE and show off your holiday cheer. Voting begins December 19th, so get those entries in sooner rather than later! We will be awarding 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place prize baskets to the houses with the most votes. If you have participated before, you know that, with thanks to the Millcreek Business Council, we'll have some AMAZING prizes from several local Millcreek businesses to give away. ---PAGE BREAK--- Join Us on December 4th for World Ice Skating Day MILLCREEK. Millcreek Common is participating in World Ice Skating Day on Sunday, December 4th. Organized by ISU Figure Skating, the event is dedicated to celebrating skating around the world. A parade of skaters is planned to begin at 7 pm. After the parade, you can skate for FREE until 9 pm (the free public skate is first -ome first-served at the Millcreek Common Adventure Hub window). Come early and support local skate groups at pop-up skate shops from 5-9 pm and grab dinner from a food truck.
