Send us your articles, photos of Millcreek, and ideas, for use in this newsletter and on the City's website, http://millcreek.utah.org. feasibility study. The study shows that should Millcreek remain in the MSD, it would pay $108 for every $100 of services it receives. If Millcreek were to leave the MSD but contract directly with Salt Lake County for all services, it would have an extra $6 to spend for every $100 it pays for services. That means Millcreek has the flexibility to provide some of its own services, such as planning and economic development. The full study is posted on the City's website at and is available at the City's offices, 3932 S. 500 and at the Millcreek Library, 2266 E. Evergreen Ave. There are two more opportunities to attend a hearing on the study results: .The first is on May 16, 2017, 7 PM, at the Mt. Olympus Community Council meeting at Churchill Jr. High. The second is the City Council's public hearing on May 23, 2017, at 6:30 PM at Wasatch Jr. High. Millcreek Tentatively Adopts Tentative Budget MILLCREEK. It's budget season for cities across Utah, including Millcreek. Last week, as Utah law requires, the City Council "tentatively adopted a tentative budget." This is a key step for the Council to begin working on the 2017-18 budget over the next few weeks. You can click on the picture to access the tentative budget. Enjoy (though it's still just a rough draft)! MILLCREEK MARATHON BOOTH WINS PRIZE MILLCREEK. On an early April morning, Salt Lake Marathoners passing by Millcreek's booth were cheered on by the City Council and Mayor, Millcreek residents, and cheerleaders from Wasatch and Churchill Jr. Highs. As they ran by, we slapped half bananas and orange wedges (fruit donated by Smith's) into their outstretched hands. The cleanup was well worth the Marathoners' many giant smiles and thanks.
