Click here and go to p. 3 for more details. Millcreek Resident Linda Milne Honored by AARP MILLCREEK. Earlier this week, long- time Millcreek resident Linda Milne was granted the AARP Andrus Award for Community Service. The award is given annually in each state to "outstanding individuals who are sharing their experience, talents and skills to enrich the lives of others." Linda was one of 15 nominees in Utah for the award. In her acceptance speech, Linda explained her educational model for seniors to help them prepare themselves and create neighborhood connections so they won't be left behind after a disaster. Congratulations to Linda, and many thanks to her for her tireless volunteer work in our community. Click here for details. Such an impressive person! NEW BIKE REPAIR STATION INSTALLED AT SUNNYVALE PARK MILLCREEK. Eagle Scout Henry Jensen recently installed a bike repair station at Sunnyvale Park for his Eagle Scout project. Henry investigated where there might be a need and determined that the kids in Subscribe Past Issues Translate ---PAGE BREAK--- 10/30/2018 Potential Skyline site layouts available for comment 4/10 the Sunnyvale area might not have access to bike repair tools and equipment. He worked with the City to determine placement within the park. He also raised the necessary funds to purchase and install it. An air pump and tools to perform basic repairs and maintenance, like changing a tire or adjusting a derailleur, are securely attached. A bike can be hung from the arms to allow the pedals and wheels to spin freely while making adjustments. Henry will be recognized at Monday's City Council meeting for his work and contribution.
