Meet performance standards established with the employee’s supervisor. 2. Develop a Promise Program Standard of Operations manual. 3. Ensure the implementation of the Millcreek Promise Program is in alignment with the Mayor and Council’s vision for the program. 4. Organize, coordinate and facilitate meetings and efforts of the Promise Executive Team, the Leadership Committee, corresponding subcommittees, and volunteer functions. 5. Deepen existing partnerships, develop relevant new partnerships, and nurture effective collaborative relationships among partners. 6. Develop mechanisms for ensuring partner accountability and monitor progress to ensure partner deliverables are being met. 7. Guide effective data driven decision making that will ensure the overall quality of the Millcreek Promise program in alignment with specific indicators, areas and targets. 8. Coordinate community and afterschool programs. 9. Assist in collecting, evaluating, and reporting on outcome data of strategies and programs. 10. Ensure City Council, Mayor and residents in the community are actively engaged in the project at all levels of decision making. 11. Work with staff and partners to expand existing strategies and programs, design and implement new strategies and programs within the Millcreek Promise Program to create a seamless experience for youth and families as they progress. Millcreek, Utah’s newest city, is hiring a Promise Program Manager to work under the direction of the Assistant City Manager. The Millcreek Promise Program Manager is responsible for the implementation, oversight, and coordination of a neighborhood-based collective impact effort to close gaps in under- represented communities and create cradle-to-career support for youth and their families in Millcreek with a focus on community and after school programs. POSITION(S) SUPERVISED Organize and supervise volunteers and interns as needed. ---PAGE BREAK--- 2 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1. Education and Experience: a. Bachelor’s degree from a regionally accredited institution in recreation, education, planning, or related field. b. Five years experience performing above or related duties. 2. Special Qualifications: a. Valid Utah Class D Driver’s License required. 3. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities: a. Skill in word processing, spreadsheets, office machine usage and general computer operation. b. Ability to communicate professionally and effectively, both verbally and in writing. c. Ability to use independent judgment. d. Ability to maintain confidential and sensitive information. e. Excellent project management skills to meet timelines on a diverse range of projects and initiatives. f. Demonstrated experience working within a low-income community with high need for youth and families. g. Commitment and ability to work collaboratively with elected officials, staff, residents and partners across multiple programs, functions, and organizations to solicit and incorporate feedback. h. Willingness and ability to adapt to a rapidly changing environment. i. Skill in collaboration and cooperative problem solving. WORKING CONDITIONS 1. Environment: Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment. Light physical effort and usually comfortable working positions. Local travel may be required to perform needed inspections, etc. 2. Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. 3. Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction 4. Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. 5. Attendance/Work Schedule: Employee is expected to be in the city offices during normal business hours Monday through Friday, however incumbent will often be required to work extended hours including evenings, weekends, and other meetings as necessary. 12. Identify, pursue, and oversee grant opportunities and reporting requirements to ensure the long-term sustainability of the Millcreek Promise Program. 13. Coordinate program funding including seeking grants, sponsorships, and other opportunities to fund the program. 14. Coordinate and facilitate Millcreek Promise meetings and efforts, such as the Millcreek Promise Core Leadership Team and other volunteer groups. 15.
