The EMCCC forwards a positive recommendation to the subject changes based on the information presented at the meeting, including the MOU. Below are some of the issues/questions addressed: 1. We want ‘no more billboards’, but understand there is a cap on square footage and that existing billboard locations can be changed to other areas 2. Clarification on why 2 signs will be on 24x7 while a 3Id is turned off midnight to 5am. 3. Clarification on the new designation; District sign (owned by city) to ordinance 4. Concern over signs on Chambers: location on island or not and the height/light as it relates to structures to be built between Chambers and 33rd. that may contain living areas. 5. Question asked about traffic accidents as a results of signs; we were told studies show no rise in accidents 6. Were assured that brightness, siteline, and light-blocking louvers technology will be included in installation Nancy Carlson-Gotts Chair East Mill Creek Community Council
