The Marketing Manager works collaboratively with and manages independent contractors. ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS 1. Manage marketing campaigns and budgets for Millcreek Common and city-wide events. 2. Organize flow and develop processes for collecting and distributing information between events, recreation managers, and independent contractors. 3. Manage marketing research to develop marketing strategies to bolster community programs. 4. Collaborate in developing and enacting marketing campaigns for new events and initiatives. 5. Participate in brand management and graphic standards for Millcreek Common venues and events. 6. Collaborate with city, participate in, and coordinate promotional activities to inform the public of Millcreek Common or city-wide events and initiatives. 7. Develop copy that creates clear and engaging communication for marketing campaigns, including event content for Millcreek's weekly email newsletter and printed newsletter. 8. Manage Millcreek Common WordPress website for inaccuracies and content. 9. Work with Millcreek Communication Department on communication directives. 10. Coordinate with Millcreek Community Life Department and other city departments. 11. Manage inquiries about the department and respond via [EMAIL REDACTED]. 12. Perform other duties as assigned. ---PAGE BREAK--- 2 MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS 1. Education and Experience: a. Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or related field required. b. Three years of experience in marketing, public relations, mass communications or related duties listed above. 2. Special Qualifications: a. Valid Utah Class D Driver’s License required. 3. Knowledge, Skills, & Abilities: a. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. b. Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills. c. Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail. d. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills. e. Strong leadership skills. f. Strong understanding of social media channels. g. Ability to monitor budgets. h. Ability to meet stringent and dynamic deadlines with accuracy. i. Understanding of principles and methods used to promote, display, and market Millcreek Common and city-wide events. j. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, WordPress websites, graphic design software. WORKING CONDITIONS 1. Environment: Work is performed primarily in a standard office environment with some travel to different sites. May be required to travel outside of City boundaries to attend meetings, events, etc. 2. Physical: Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in an office setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and/or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination including use of a computer keyboard; and to verbally communicate to exchange information. 3. Vision: See in the normal visual range with or without correction 4. Hearing: Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction. 5.
