The city, in close coordination with Salt Lake County, has made significant progress in making accessibility improvements in the Green Valley Drive neighborhood. As of this week, the installation of 17 brand-new pedestrian access ramps, complete with efficient new waterways, has concluded. A crucial milestone in ensuring the neighborhood meets ADA standards, mobility and safety for residents and visitors alike has been enhanced. Though significant progress has been accomplished, more work still needs to be done. The next focus will be addressing trip hazards by replacing sidewalks, followed by restoring sinking curbs and gutters throughout the area. The targeted effort will continue into the spring of 2025. Residents in the area may experience some disruptions during this process, as crews may need to temporarily pause the construction schedule for other necessary projects outside of Millcreek. We appreciate everyone's cooperation and patience during this time.
