Mayor Silvestrini, Councilmembers Cheri Jackson ---PAGE BREAK--- Planning Commission Wed., 6/15/22, 5 pm City Hall, 3330 S 1300 E Join virtually HERE See Agendas below and Thom DeSirant cut the ribbon with the giant scissors and officially opened Millcreek Common and the Skate Loop last Saturday night during DJ Skate Night. The Skating Loop was full of skaters ranging from experts dancing on wheels (and sometimes with partners) to stiff-legged beginners learning the ropes. Things are heating up on the Common and there is nothing better to help cool down than some fantastic and tasty Normal Ice Cream from the silver truck. So many flavors to choose from, it is hard to make a decision. And of course on Thursday from 5 to 8 pm you have your choice of fantastic food truck entrees. Skate rentals for the Skate Loop open at 5 pm daily with talented DJ's providing their own personalized "mixes" every Saturday night from 7 to 10 pm. Admission to the Loop is $5.00. Bring your own skates or rent a pair for $5.00. Bring the kids to the Commons every weekday between 11 am and 2 pm for Playtivities activities and don't forget to join us from 7 to 10 pm for G.O.A.T. Fridays. Earn the coveted G.O.A.T. (Greatest of All Time) title!! The Swinging Lights bring the best elements from these genres while maintaining a Utah identity. Indeed, five Utahns singing Utah-centric songs for Utahns wouldn’t do it any other way. Enjoy the kickoff to the Summer Jam series with a band that captures the intimacy of singing songs around the campfire with the excitement of cranking the stereo to begin a summer Utah road trip. We have a few barrels that were not picked up and are available to Millcreek residents at the subsidized rate of $55. ---PAGE BREAK--- The supply is very limited - First Come, First Served! Order your barrel (or two) on the Rain Water Solutions website. Millcreek residents should enter the code MillcreekMay22 and then click apply to receive the subsidized rate. Barrels will need to be picked up at the city offices, 3330 S 1300 E, during regular business hours (8 am to 5 pm). HEADS UP MILLCREEK! The Huntsman SportsFest Ride will be taking place this Saturday, June 11th, in the morning. Take a look at the course map, you may want to plan your morning travels accordingly. ---PAGE BREAK--- Fireworks Restrictions Map Adopted Fireworks season will be coming up before we know it and residents should be aware that the city council has adopted the fireworks restrictions map. Fireworks are restricted in areas shown in red, covering all sections of the city east of 900 East and west of 700 W. Millcreek, in coordination with the Salt Lake County Health Department, is making it easy to get up to date (or get started) on your vaccinations.
