Wasatch Front Waste & Recycling District has provided area cleanups, garbage collection, and recycling services to Millcreek residents since 2013. Before that, Salt Lake County Sanitation provided these services. Don't leave trees in the street. Call 385-468- 6325 or visit for more information. Most of Millcreek's waste is picked up on Fridays, while East Mill Creek's is picked-up on Tuesdays. The schedule changes many of us experienced last year resulted in a more efficient system, with big gasoline and air pollution savings. The list of what can be placed in the blue bins does NOT include plastic grocery bags, for they clog the machines. Please recycle them at the grocery store. For a small extra fee, curbside glass recycling is available, as is green waste. City officials have no plans to change Millcreek's recycling and garbage collection services. Long before the election, and well before he was hired, John volunteered to help to write the Request For Proposal to obtain a feasibility study for leaving the MSD. He attended meetings with Mayor Silvestrini and the County's attorneys to begin working out details of Millcreek's justice system. And he prepared the list of necessary steps required to incorporate and secure the revenues COMMUNITY COUNCIL OPENINGS The Mount Olympus Community Council has two vacancies. At the conclusion of the citizen comment time, the chair may direct staff to assist the citizen on the issue presented; direct the citizen to the proper administrative department(s); or take no action. This policy also applies to all public hearings. Citizens may also submit written requests (outlining their issue) for an item to be considered at a future council meeting.
