The mayor and City Council members, the Community Councils, and regular folks have contributed to both newsletters. Issue 4 for 2017, depicted above, was printed and put in the US mail earlier this week. (It says Issue 4, but there was no Issue 3...just hate those typos.) Are you tired of normal October activities, like corn mazes, pumpkin patches, and haunted houses? How can anyone tire of those things? But here's something a little different A bunch of cities and government agencies in Utah County have gotten together to put on a "Rockin’ Roundup Mass Casualty Event" next weekend. They need a whole bunch of people to come be "victims in distress" so that first responders can practice and test their skills. Good to learn the word "moulage"--even better, if you are a lucky moulage participant, you'll be all ready to dress as a disaster victim for Halloween! Suitably, the Rockin' Roundup will be held at the Lehi Rodeo Grounds, 100 North 500 West in Lehi, from 7AM to noon. It won't be postponed for weather, so make sure you dress for whatever the forecast indicates. Food, water, and snacks will be provided. I-80/I-215 Construction MILLCREEK. Here we go... This is the detour that was scheduled for last weekend: Tonight (9/29) starting at 9 PM through Monday (10/2) at 5AM, don't try to use the ramp from I-80 westbound to I-215 southbound. It's going to be closed. You can get off on Foothill, then turn around and go south (yay--it's so nice that Foothill's open!). Or you can go to 13th East or 7th East and turn around and head back east. This closure shouldn't be too bad (unless everybody decides to go boating this weekend and they all come home at the same time). It's unclear from UDOT's weekly report whether the lane closures will continue next week. We can hope those are over, but don't count on it. Here's UDOT's weekly report.
