January 2025 Millcreek Together Code Update I 18.70 Single-Household and Two-Household Standards Summary Sheet Chapter 18.70 Single-Household and Two-Household Dwelling Standards Summary A. Purpose. These standards are intended to create a harmonious and compatible standard for single and two household dwellings, and supplement zone-specific requirements. These standards are also intended to align design and building code standards for homes built on traditional foundations and manufactured or prefabricated homes in a manner consistent with state and federal law. B. What Changed. o Millcreek’s current code has these standards, as part of the Supplementary and Qualifying Regulations. o A number of the standards in the current code, relating to building color, mass, and roof pitch, are unenforceable due to recent changes in state statute. These provisions were removed. C. What Remained the Same. o The requirements for manufactured homes remain the same, as does the requirement for utility connections. D. Rationale for Changes. The changes were limited to updating terminology and format, and revising requirements to ensure compliance with state statutes.
