DISASTERS DO STRIKE UTAH WE CAN DO IT! PLEASE CONTRIBUTE WHAT YOU CAN. 2 WAYS YOU CAN HELP: 1: 2: ...just ask the residents and businesses of Salt Lake City, Brian’s Head, Box Elder, South Ogden and Tooele, how quickly severe weather and fire ruins lives and destroys property at a cost of millions. While we do not live in the frequent path of merciless high winds and brutal deluge, we DO LIVE IN MAJOR EARTHQUAKE COUNTRY. FAMILY PREPAREDNESS SAVES LIVES. AS DOES COMMUNITY PREPAREDNESS. Canyon Rim has one community emergency Cache. It is a secure container with emergency response supplies. We need a community emergency cache in the Western Canyon Rim area (From 2700 East to Highland Drive) so that Neighbors Can Help Neighbors in the event of a disaster. Granite School District has approved a cache site at Rosecrest Elementary. We now need to purchase the container and equipment to fill it. WE NEED YOUR HELP TO TAKE THIS COMMUNITY PREPAREDNESS STEP. Total estimated cost of this community preparedness project is $15,000. This will fund a 20’x8’ rail/marine cargo container with secure locks, site prep, transport, and paint and shelving materials and critical supplies. NEIGHBORS HELPING NEIGHBORS MAKE CHECKS PAYABLE TO MILLCREEK CITY Use the pre-addressed envelope to mail in your contribution, or drop off at City Hall 3330 S 1300 E. * Include “Rosecrest Cache” in the memo line on your check. * Your canceled check is your receipt for this tax-deductible donation. They will be deployed elsewhere. A community Emergency Container to store our basic emergency supplies (Cache) is vital. It will be the location that our trained (and willing untrained) neighbors will go to access equipment and supplies to help their famlies and neighbors. THE COST OF THIS DOOR TO DOOR FUND RAISING CAMPAIGN, INCLUDING POSTAGE, HAS BEEN DONATED FROM AN ANONYMOUS ROSECREST FAMILY. A BIG THANKS FOR THEIR STRONG BELIEF IN COMMUNITY PREPAREDNESS AND MAKING THIS CAMPAIGN POSSIBLE. WHAT OUR EMERGENCY CONTAINER WILL HOUSE: + Cribbing wood + Leverage bars and other tools + Body boards + Body bags + Tarps + Basic first aid supplies + Administrative supplies + Hazmat drums to collect waste and help prevent public health crises WHAT OUR EMERGENCY CONTAINER WILL NOT HOUSE*: + Generators + Motorized equipment + Communication equipment + Medications of any kind, food, water, infant or pet supplies, weapons, or sanitation supplies for toileting stations. * THESE ITEMS WILL BE STORED PRIVATELY, OFF-SITE, FOR SECURITY PURPOSE. WE NEED AN EMERGENCY CACHE IN WEST-CANYON RIM AREA. IT WILL SAVE LIVES.
