Effective immediately, the following changes should be made to various contract documents for public works projects in the City of Middleton: Table of Contents (Page TC-1) The note at the bottom of the page has been updated to indicate that the standard documents have been revised to be current as of February 20, 2007. Agreement (Page A-5) The referenced general conditions and specifications are now noted to be in the City of Middleton Standard Specifications and Construction Contract Documents, dated June 2004, and most recently revised February 20, 2007. Agreement (Page A-8) The Mayor’s name has been removed from the associated signature blank. General Requirements (Page 100-1) The Table of Contents for this section has been modified to indicate that several sections now begin on different page numbers than previously. General Requirements (Page 100-4) New paragraphs 105.B and 105.C have been added to require protection of existing trees. Underground Pipe Construction (Pages 200-6 and 7) Paragraphs E through I of Section 205 have been changed to clarify the intended payment for backfill. Sanitary Sewer (Page 500-5 and 500-7) The manhole material requirement section has been moved away from sewer laterals to new paragraph 501.I. A new paragraph 502.D has been added to require provisions for locating sewer laterals. Standard Detail Drawing 300-6 To avoid possible ambiguity over the intended size of adjusting rings, a dimension of the structure chimney has been provided. Standard Detail Drawing 400-2 To avoid possible ambiguity over the intended size of adjusting rings, a dimension of the structure chimney has been provided. Standard Detail Drawings 400-7, 400-8 and 400-9 New drawings have been added to show typical meter set configurations. The Table of Contents for the Standard Detail Drawings was also updated to show the inclusion of these new drawings. Standard Detail Drawing 500-1 To avoid possible ambiguity over the intended size of adjusting rings, a dimension of the structure chimney has been provided. Standard Detail Drawing 500-2 An inset detail has been added to show the required curb marking for sewer laterals. Standard Detail Drawing 600-4 Consistent with the recently adopted Traffic Management Plan for the City, a note was added for the minimum width of commercial driveways. Standard Detail Drawings 600-5, 600-6 and 600-8 through 600-10 Typical roadway widths have been changed to be consistent with the recently adopted Traffic Management Plan for the City. Standard Detail Drawing 600-15 Several clarifying notes and dimension lines have been added.
