2016 TAX COLLECTION Holiday Closures: Finance Department Office Hours 7:45 a.m. - 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday OUR OFFICE WILL BE CLOSED: December 23, 26, 30, 2016, and January 2, 2017. All tax payments postmarked on or before December 31, 2016 will be processed as having been paid in 2016. All tax payments, whether in full or first installment, are due no later than January 31, 2017 to avoid interest and penalty charges. To View and Print Your Property Tax Bill Online 1. Go to Access Dane: 2. Perform Parcel Search and click “E-Bill” PAYMENT INFORMATION There are four payment methods: 1. Pay in person – City Hall, 7426 Hubbard Ave., in the Finance Department. Please bring in the entire tax bill when making payment. 2. Pay by mail – 7426 Hubbard Ave., Middleton, WI 53562. Please return bottom portion of tax bill with your payment. If you want a receipt, return entire tax bill and include a self-addressed stamped envelope. 3. City Tax payment drop box in the Library parking lot. Please return bottom portion of tax bill with your payment. If you want a receipt, return entire tax bill and include a self-addressed stamped envelope. Payments made on December 30 or 31 will be collected from the drop box at 8:00 a.m. on January 1, 2017, and will be processed as having been paid by December 31, 2016. 4. Pay online – see instructions below (note early closure date) Note: Do not pay your online tax bill through your online utility account. Online tax payments made through utility accounts may be considered delinquent. Escrow check payments: Please endorse the escrow check and include a separate check for any additional amount due. If the amount of the escrow check is for more than the tax bill, the overpayment will be sent to you in February, after the City settles tax collection with Dane County. Paying Online Through City Website Online payment is made by electronic checks (ACH). THIS SYSTEM DOES NOT USE CREDIT OR DEBIT CARDS. Please note that the cutoff to make an online payment through the City of Middleton is January 25, 2017. There is a 7 day delay in online payments that the City must account for to ensure payment is made by January 31, 2017. Please follow the below instructions to use this service. 1. To begin the online payment process www.ci.middleton.wi.us 2. From the Home Page, click on Online Payments. 3. Under the “Property Tax Bills” section, click on Online Payments to be routed to the PSN website. Note: Do not use your online utility bill pay account! 4. Enter the amount of your tax bill you wish to pay online and click Continue 5. Review the terms and conditions and the total payment, click Accept 6. Enter the payment information including your Parcel Number (on your tax bill), click Continue 7. The PSN system will guide you through completion of the payment process. 2017 Dog Licensing 2017 Dog License and Dog Park Renewals can be made online, by mail, or in person. For more information, please visit our website (www.cityofmiddleton.us). Under “Department” click on “City Clerk” then “Licenses.” Proof of rabies vaccination is required.
