Affected pages are not being mailed, but are available on the City’s web site. Effective immediately, the following changes should be made to various bidding and contract documents for public works projects in the City of Middleton: Table of Contents (Page TC-1) The note at the bottom of the page has been updated to indicate that the standard documents have been revised to be current as of February 1st, 2012. Bid & Contract Requirements The following were substantially rewritten and/or reformatted to bring into compliance with current standards and to highlight sections that require user-customization: - Advertisement to Bid.doc - Instructions to Bidders.doc - Bid.doc - Bid Bond.doc - Agreement.doc - Performance Bond.doc - Payment Bond.doc - Supplementary Conditions.doc General Conditions. Updated to refer to EJCDC C-700 2007 Edition (from former 2004 Edition) Specification Sections Section 400.B. Added reference to NR 811.74. Section 401.J. Added consistent manhole specifications to match Section 300. Section 402.Q. Added requirement to plug and seal manhole lift holes. Section 403.B. Rewritten substantially to specify what is required for flushing and de-chlorination of water mains. Added requirement to include water laterals in pressure testing of mains. Section 404.A.3. Added clarifying language regarding salvaged materials. Section 404.B. Added new paragraph to clarify that water service laterals must be abandoned at the mains. Section 502.D. Modified to require manholes and laterals be shown on record drawings, to scale, per field measurement. Field measurements of lateral locations are required to mark curb and gutter at the locations where laterals cross beneath. Section 502.F. Modified to require use of ABS for repairs of clay pipe. Section 503.A.3. Added clarifying language regarding salvaged materials. Section 504.E. Modified to require videotaping of repairs and laterals. Section 609.G.9. Modified to require marking of sanitary lateral crossings on repairs of curb and gutter. Section 610.C.3. Modified to call for PG 58-28, or in high traffic areas, PG 64-28. Standard Detail Drawings Table of Contents. Updated to reflect current list of Drawings. Drawing 300-01. Modified to reconfigure the depth of sump to 3 feet (when sump is required on plans). Drawing 300-04. Added as new drawing: Combinations of Inlet Adjustment Rings. Drawings 300-04 through 300-17. Renumbered as 300-05 through 300-18. Drawing 300-07 (revised number). Modified to reconfigure the depth of sump to 3 feet and add fillets at base. Drawing 400-3: Clarified depth limits for Curb Stop. Drawing 600-1: Added detail for ribbon curb. Drawing 600-2: Modified to include: 10’ curb radius, PROWAG compliance updates, clarifications. All Drawings: Minor format cleanup. Appendix, Table 1: Minor modification of wording of labeling and footnotes. Appendix, Table 2: Minor modification of wording of labeling and footnotes. Appendices Sanitary Sewer Appendix Tbl1.doc.
