Marysville’s public golf course will be transformed at dusk for public tours of enchanting holiday light displays. Tours are available from 6-9 p.m. on Thursdays, Fridays and Saturdays Dec. 5-28 at the course located at 6810 84th St. NE. No tours on Saturday, Dec. 7. Hop aboard a Express Rotary Train as it whisks you and your family on a journey along winding cart paths. Along the way, you’ll be treated to 30 enchanting light displays “sure to give people something to smile about this holiday season,” Parks and Recreation Director Jim Ballew says. “It’s incredible fun.” The 20-minute ride on tractor-pulled trains sponsored by the Marysville Rotary Club will take guests through rolling hills on the west side of the course and around the pond, passing through penguin village, polar bear forest, Santa’s workshop and other unique displays that include animated golfers, a rocket ship and gingerbread people playing soccer. The event also features a bonfire, free s’mores and hot chocolate for warming up after the train ride, visits from Santa, holiday music to get you in the spirit, and a special menu during weekends in Bleachers Grill at Cedarcrest. The City hopes to top the success of the last two years of the tour, which have drawn more than 3,000 visitors each year.
