Multicultural Fair 2014 Performance Application Saturday, Sept. 20 * 10 a.m.-3 p.m. * Comeford Park, 514 Delta Ave. The purpose of the first-ever Marysville Multicultural Fair is to share the cultural traditions of our various ancestries. Application acceptance will be based on available space and adherence to mission of the event. Because the Multicultural Fair is focused on cultural traditions, proposals for presentations that are predominantly and/or overtly religious or political in nature will not be accepted. Your commitment to this new celebration is appreciated. Each performing group will be allowed to sell their CDs during and immediately after their performance. Each group will also be allowed to have a booth during the entire event. Groups must fill out a separate application for booth space. Groups must supply own canopy/tent and, if applicable, tables and chairs.) Introduction Information: On the reverse side of this sheet or on a separate attachment, briefly describe what you will be performing, the history of the performance style and any meaning or stories told through the performance. Performers will be notified whether they have been selected by Tuesday, Aug. 26, 2014 Stage, Performance Time and Sound Needs The Multicultural Fair will have two stages available at the event – the covered Rotary Pavilion (main stage), and a secondary stage on the grass. We will endeavor to provide equal opportunity for all groups on both stages, as best we can, keeping in mind group and audience sizes. Performances are no more than 30 minutes in length. Include boom or straight stands plus direct-ins. *Please deliver CDs to the City of Marysville, 1049 State Ave., Marysville, WA 98270 (no later than Friday, Sept. 5, 2014) with specific instructions for the sound tech on tracks to be played, length of music, pauses, etc.* ---PAGE BREAK--- Application deadline: Friday, Aug. 15. Draw how your instruments or performers would be organized on the Main Stage In consideration for being permitted to participate in the Marysville Multicultural Fair, I hereby waive, release and discharge any and all claims for damages for personal injury, death or property damage which may occur as a result of participation in this activity. This release is intended to discharge in advance, the City of Marysville, its officers and employees, sponsors, contractors, volunteers and agents from any liability arising out of, or connected in any way with, my participation in this activity, even though that liability may not rise out of the negligence or carelessness on the part of the persons or entities mentioned above. I agree for myself, my heirs, administrators, executors and assigns, that I shall indemnify and hold harmless the persons and entities mentioned above and their respective elected and appointed officers, official agents and employees from any and all claims, demands, actions or suits arising out of or in connection with my participation in this activity.
