Storm Clean-up Update 2/20/14 Update from Lewiston Public Works Lewiston Public Works notes that the forecast is calling for 1 ½ inches of snow again tonight beginning at ~9:00 or 10:00 pm. This will be immediately followed by freezing rain from ~7:00 am until noon tomorrow and then a 1/3 inch of rain from noon until ~10:00 pm tomorrow night. Today several crews have been clearing catch basins in known trouble spots, i.e., Exit 80 overpass, Lisbon Street at Sullivan Tire, Main Street under the trestle, catch basins at the Oak- Bates Street bus station to name a few examples. A crew has also been removing snow in front of the Armory and at the Main Street fire station. Three sanders have been on the road doing hills and intersections as needed.
