City of Lewiston, Maine Sale and Redevelopment of Property at 147 Sabattus Street RFP: 2013-024 Due Date: May 23, 2013 Proposals from interested parties will be received at the Office of the Director of Purchasing until 4:00 p.m., Thursday, May 23, 2013 for sale and redevelopment of property at 147 Sabattus Street. The City recently took possession of the property at 147 Sabattus Street due to matured tax liens. There are two buildings on this property with a total of ten (10) residential units. The property consists of 0.19 acres and is located in the Neighborhood Conservation (NCB) district in which multi-families are a permitted use. The Assessor’s has a current value of $182,080 on the property ($24,240 on the land and $157,840 on the structures). However, given the current state of disrepair, the structures have been deemed uninhabitable by the City. Proposals will be reviewed by City staff with recommendations an acceptance or rejection to be made to the City Council. Each proposal submitted shall be accompanied by a certified check, cashier’s check or bond made payable to the City of Lewiston in the amount of ten (10%) percent of the total amount offered. The proposal shall describe in detail the proposed reuse of the site including a time line for implementation of the proposed use.
