2/18/14 - 3:29 p.m. Lewiston Public Works Winter Storm Update The Lewiston Public Works Director reports that light snow began around 1 p.m. this date, with a prediction of 5-6 inches tonight and an additional 2-3 inches late tomorrow. Due to the storms and potential of heavy rain on Friday, Public Works will likely not do any snow removal until next week. Public Works crews will also be working to clear as many of the 3,500+ catch basins as they can before the rain arrives on Friday. Residents are encouraged to make sure catch basins near their home/business are cleared off before Friday.
