Morning Storm Update – February 14, 2014 Public Works Director Dave Jones notes, “This was a tough and long/drawn-out storm.” The “B-Team” and other Public Works personnel did a good job overnight keeping up with the arterials and collectors. The “A-Team” is working on their neighborhood runs to open them up, and we will be re-scraping everything this morning to clean it all up. Three sidewalk plows are scheduled to be in operation by 10 a.m. Lewiston Police have done a great job with getting vehicles moved off streets, and we received a nice note from an Auburn resident who works in Lewiston who really appreciated our services last night. We do have some equipment issues that we’ll be addressing today as the forecast is calling for another five inches of snow tomorrow into Sunday.
