CITY BUSINESS LICENSE APPLICATIONS FEES, PENALTIES AND INSPECTION & APPROVAL SCHEDULE 1. Approval of all new city license applications shall be in accordance with the Business License Approval Schedule which is attached hereto and made a part hereof. 2. The City Clerk, as required by State Statutes or the City Ordinances, or as directed by the City Council, or upon his own discretion shall submit applications for licenses to such City officials whose approval is deemed necessary before such license is to be issued. 3. All licensees are required to file an application at least forty-eight (48) hours prior to the event. Failure may be grounds for denial of the application. For peddlers licenses, all applications must be filed no later than four weeks before the event. 4. If an inspection is required outside of normal working hours, the applicant shall pay the cost of the inspection prior to the issuance of the license. The fee shall be $53.00. 5. The City Clerk, when notified in writing by any department more than thirty (30) days prior to the renewal date that a license should be denied, shall not renew said license until such time as the department has granted its approval. 6. The provisions for payment of one-half (1/2) of the annual license fee for businesses starting after six months of the current license year have expired, shall not be applicable to licenses, where the half fee would be less than ten (10 ) dollars. 7. The City shall be entitled to retain, from the license fee paid, the sum of eleven (11) dollars on any application which is denied or cancelled. 8. Non-profit organizations conducting a one or two day "bake sale” shall only be required to obtain a permit from the Code Enforcement Division. No fee shall be charged for this permit. 9. Penalty Amounts: Special Amusement Permit - Chapter 10 Amusements and Entertainments A fine of $525.00 for a first offense, 1,050.00 for a second offense and $2,100.00 for a third or subsequent offense. Note: This penalty is outlined in the City Code of Ordinances Chapter 10, Article III Special Amusement Permit. Massage Therapists - Chapter 22 Businesses A fine not less than $265.00 nor more than $530.00 for each offense. Note: This penalty is outlined in the City Code of Ordinances Chapter 22 Businesses, Article XIII Massage Establishments and Massage Therapists. Outpatient Addiction Treatment Clinic - Chapter 22 Businesses A penalty between $105.00 and $2,630.00 per violation, per day.
