Instead of sorting your recyclables, you may place them all into a single container, and more recyclables will be accepted. ITEMS Newspapers, magazines, catalogs, telephone/soft/hard cover books, direct mail envelopes (all types), paper (all colors—staples/paper clips are ok), paper board (cereal & shoe boxes), all corrugated cardboard/brown paper bags, milk/juice cartons. (if it tears, it’s recyclable) ---PAGE BREAK--- RECYCLABLE ITEMS ITEMS NOT ACCEPTED All of the different types. Plastic bottles and containers #1-7: soda/juice/water (glass or plastic), milk jugs, bleach/detergent, shampoo, food containers (cottage cheese, margarine, yogurt). Acceptable Rigid Plastics (Please note: any and all plastics must have a bit of give when attempting to bend.) One and five (5)gallon buckets with handles attached, milk/soda crates, laundry baskets, small plastic trash bins (up to five gallons), plastic toys, landscape trays, plastic plant pots, kitty litter buckets, children’s size rigid pools. Aluminum (pie plates/trays/foil), metal cans (tin/steel/aluminum), empty aerosol containers. Bottles and jars (any color.) NO Mirrors NO Stretch Wrap NO Foam Packaging NO Dishes/Ceramics /Pyrex NO Oils/Paints NO Hard Brittle Plastic or Computers NO Medical Waste or Sharps NO Window Glass NO Plastic Bags/Film All recycled items must be rinsed and clear of food.
