2/6/14 – 8:35 a.m. – Update on Storm Clean-up Things went well last night with the snow tapering off after 9:00 pm or so. It did get cold (into single so we weren’t getting much melting. All 3 sidewalk plows were out and got their primary routes (schools & downtown) done. One is finishing up out to McMahon School, and then they will be addressing the next priority areas. The new blower attachment is a champ and working great! We have our sanders out doing neighborhoods and side roads this morning and hopefully with the sun we’ll get some better melting today. The equipment held up well and Public Works hasn’t heard of any major issues. The long-term forecast is still hinting at the potential for another storm coming Sunday into Monday, and we will continue to monitor that.
