City of Lewiston Library Exterior Wall Rehabilitation Project Bid 2013-026 Due: Tuesday, June 11, 2013 by 2:00 p.m. Issued: Friday, June 7, 2013 This addendum is to be added to and become part of the Contract and Contract Documents and modifies the original document. Acknowledge receipt of this addendum in the space provided on the Bid Form. It is the responsibility of General bidders to inform sub-bidders of any addendum provisions affecting their work. Addendum No. 1 to the Bidding Documents This Addendum form is a part of the Contract Documents and modifies the original Bidding documents. Acknowledge receipt of this Addendum in the space provided in the Bid Proposal Form. Addendum Item No. 1 10.0 SCOPE OF WORK Remove Item No. 8 “Furnish and install rosette” from the Base Bid List. “Furnish and Install Rosette” is Alternate Bid Item No. 4. Addendum Item No. 2 For clarification, the cost for painting the ceiling, front door and lamp post shall be included in Alternate Bid Item No. 2 - “Paint Exterior Green Painted Windows on North Side of the City Library Building. Addendum Item No. 3 For clarification, the cost to fill cracks in the granite with epoxy shall be included in Base Bid Item No. 2 - “Remove and Repoint 20% of the City Library Building Exterior Granite Stone Wall Masonry Joints.” Addendum Item No. 4 For clarification, the cost to remove asphalt mastic on granite foundation shall be included in Base Bid Item No. 1 - “Complete the cleaning of the City Library Building Exterior Granite Stone Wall Masonry Joints” Addendum Item No. 5 Notices to Contractor Base Bid: In the base bid description, the statement of “re-caulking all windows and doors as needed” was intended to direct the contractor to repair existing caulking on any window and door that might be damaged as a result of the completed rehabilitation project.
