The Adopt-a-Spot program is a cooperative effort of the Androscoggin County Chamber of Commerce, the City of Lewiston, and the City of Auburn. The program is designed to promote beautification as well as a sense of pride within Androscoggin County. Businesses that are chamber members adopt a spot and create a beautiful area by arranging and planting plants/flowers of their choice. Participants are responsible for maintaining their spot throughout the spring/summer season with adequate watering, mulching and weeding as necessary. The Chamber provides all participants with an Adopt-a-Spot sign with their name on it to display in their spot to recognize them for helping to make the area more attractive for all to enjoy.
