ELECTRICAL PERMIT FEE SCHEDULE 1 Update 11/16/2021 In accordance with the provisions of the Electrical Code, Chapter 18 of the Code of Ordinances, the City Council hereby establishes the following fees: Residential (One and two family dwellings only) Install or replacement of Receptacles, Switches, Luminaires, Permanently installed appliances, Service, Generator, Heat Pump, etc. up to 50% alteration of the electrical system $40.00 Mobile, Modular, and pre-wired manufactured homes $50.00 New construction one and two family dwellings, Accessory Structures, or over 50% alteration of the electrical system $70.00 Swimming Pools, Hot Tubs ,and Spas $50.00 Solar/Renewable energy sources $40.00 Commercial, Industrial, Mixed Use, Multifamily Dwellings) Commercial Minimum Fee $50.00 Solar/Renewable energy sources. (Only includes generating equipment for installation, does not include services, electrical panels, transformers, openings, etc.) (Less than 50 KW) $40.00 (50-200 KW) $200.00 (each additional 100KW or fraction thereof) $75.00 Services - Permanent (Includes one metering device and panel), Temporary Service, Panel, Subpanel, Additional meters. Up to 200 AMP $40.00 300-600 AMP $80.00 (each additional 100 amps or fraction thereof) $10.00 Each Additional Meter $10.00 Each additional Panel/subpanel $10.00 Transformers, Generator, UPS(Battery Backup) $30.00 Each ---PAGE BREAK--- ELECTRICAL PERMIT FEE SCHEDULE 2 Update 11/16/2021 Outlet Openings 50+ Volts (Openings = Total Number of receptacles, luminaries, switches, etc. not required elsewhere on this permit) $1.00 Per opening Heating, Venting, and Air Conditioning (HVAC) Gas, Oil, Electric, or Other (Heat Pumps and Air Conditioners not including window units) $20.00 Per Unit Swimming Pools, Hot Tubs ,and Spas $50.00 Low voltage systems, Alarm systems, Energy storage systems, Systems 50 Volts or less (Copper or Fiber) Fire, Burglar Alarms (Permit and Licenses Required) $0.50 Per opening Computer, Phone, Cable, Satellite Dish, Sound, Closed Circuit TV (Copper or Fiber) (Permit required, No license required) $0.50 Per opening Circuses, Fairs, Special Events (Mass Gatherings) $100.00 Motors or Pumps ( E.g. Water Pumps, Sewer Pumps, Gas Pumps, Well Pumps) $20.00 Per motor or pump Signs - Permanent, Temporary, and portable $30.00 Per Sign Inspection for State licensing of a business $60.00 Belated Fees Fee for electrical work undertaken prior to the issuance of the appropriate electrical permit first per calendar year $200.00 Second or additional offense(s) per calendar year double to a maximum per offense $1,600.00 Re-Inspection fee after initial failed inspection $50.00 Inspections and department call outs after normal hours minimum. Additional time beyond three hours shall be calculated at time and one half for the electrician on call $200.00
