“Improving Our Quality of Life” CITY OF LARAMIE PARKS, TREE & RECREATION ADVISORY BOARD AGENDA MEETING DATE: May 9, 2012 TIME: 7:00 PM LOCATION: Recreation Center large conference room – 920 Boulder Drive Consent Agenda: 1. To approve the minutes from the April 11, 2012 regular meeting of the Parks, Tree and Recreation Advisory Board. (Owen, page 1-4 ) 2. To acknowledge receipt of the anonymous letter form a long time neighbor of Washington Park concerning the basketball court lights. (page 5) 3. To accept the donation of five Colorado blue spruce trees and irrigation system extension by Monique Aadland valued at $724.25 to be planted in Detention Pond #8 located north east of the intersection of 30th and Reynolds. (Zook page 6-9) 4. To acknowledge receipt of the final report on the 21st Annual Youth Basketball Tournament. (Peters- page 10-12) 5. To approve the Adopt A Park Agreement with the Laramie Sunrise Rotary for the establishment of one experimental bat house to be located near the Laramie River Greenbelt Trail on City of Laramie property and forward onto Council for their consideration. (Zook page 13-18) 6. To approve the proclamation designating Mosquito Control Awareness week for June 24th to June 30, 2012 and forward onto Council for their consideration. (Zook page 19) Motion seconded that the consent agenda be approved and that each specific action on the consent agenda be approved as indicated within the staff reports. (Items listed on the consent agenda are considered to be routine and will be enacted by one motion in the form listed above. There will be no separate discussion of these items unless a Board Member or citizen so requests, in which case the item will be removed from the consent agenda and will be considered on the regular agenda.) Regular Agenda: 1. Consideration of Resolution 2012-6 designating an annual Community Arbor Day and Tree Sale Celebration along with acceptance of a $500 Arbor Day grant from Rocky Mountain Power and forward onto Council for their consideration. (Zook page 20-28) 2. Consideration of the MOU with the American Legion Baseball Club for the use of Cowboy Field and Gold field for the 2012 baseball season. (Peters page 29-37) 3. Consideration of the MOU with the Laramie Colts Baseball Club for the use of Cowboy Field and Gold field for the 2012 baseball season. (Peters page 37-44) 4. Consideration of the Skyhawks Sports Camps agreement for the 2012 summer youth sports camps.
